Verde Announces John K. Bell Former Chairman of Canopy Growth As Special Advisor to Board of Directors

(Justin, TEXAS, December 15, 2021) - U.S.-based cannabis company, Verde USA, LLC, announced earlier today that Mr. John K. Bell has agreed to act as a Special Advisor to Verde’s Board of Directors.

Established in 2016, Verde USA, LLC is a rapidly-growing vertically integrated cannabis company, operating with transparency and integrity while offering a generous suite of quality U.S.-grown and manufactured cannabis products to responsible consumers.

John has a distinguished 40-year career of business success including executive management, corporate governance, financing and M&A. He is Chairman of Stack Capital, a TSX listed company investing in later stage pre-public private companies. He is Chairman of Pure Jamaican Limited, a producer of medical pharmaceutical cannabis for export, a board member of Cure Pharmaceutical, a drug delivery and development company. From 2014 to 2020, he was Chairman of the Board of Directors of Canopy Growth and Canopy Rivers as they grew the company from pre-legal to the global leader in the cannabis industry with a market cap of $20B - he stepped down after successful exit to Constellation Brands with their $5B investment. He was founder, owner and CEO of Shred-Tech, Inc. a global manufacturer of shredding and recycling equipment and creator of the mobile shredding Industry. He was owner and CEO of Polymer Technologies, Inc. a global manufacturer of auto-parts. He was Chairman and principal shareholder of BSM Technologies, Inc. (TSX) a fleet management company.  He was also CEO and director of ATS Automation (TSX) with 24 global manufacturing facilities, 4,000 employees and $700 million in sales during his time of management.  John was the lead investor and Chairman of BSM Wireless, where he led the company to substantial and profitable growth before successfully exiting in 2014.  John also sits on the Board of Strongco Corporation, which is traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
